Godot AI Workbench

Godot AI Workbench connects MCP-capable AI agents to the Godot 4 Editor so they can inspect and drive your project from a trusted local workflow. The addon exposes editor, project and runtime operations to an MCP server running on your machine. AI assistants can create and edit scenes, manage nodes, modify scripts and resources, inspect project structure, run playtests, send input events, capture screenshots, read Output/Debugger/LSP diagnostics, and help debug 2D or 3D games directly inside Godot. The project is local-first and free. No cloud backend is required. By default, the bridge listens only on 127.0.0.1 and is intended for local development with an MCP-capable client.Main features:- Local MCP server and Godot editor addon.- 129 built-in MCP tools grouped into practical tool families.- Scene, node, script, resource, signal and project-setting operations.- Runtime play/stop, input simulation, waits, assertions and screenshots.- Output, Debugger and LSP diagnostics for AI-assisted debugging.- UID repair helpers for stale Godot resource references.- 2D and 3D workflow helpers for common game-development tasks.- Tool modes for smaller or larger MCP tool catalogs.- Simple Godot dock with local connection settings.Requirements:- Godot 4.x.- Windows 10 or newer for the prebuilt release package.- An MCP-capable AI client.- Go is only required if you want to build the server from source.Full documentation, releases and source code:https://github.com/ZemDen/godot-ai-workbench
